It's not at all unusual to see an artist painting this gate, just off Canyon Road in Santa Fe. But that's on a nice summer day. At night, the gate and the wall take on an entirely different feeling.
What do you see in this night time version?

The real reason I was in Puebla; to photograph the Charreada, or Mexican Rodeo. The kids are really remarkable. Proud, disciplined, natural horsemen, they epitomize the Charro's mission, to keep alive the traditions and maintain strong family ties.

In Puebla, Mexico, one of my favorite cities in the world, I love to wander around the mercado, which overflows into and onto the surrounding streets, looking for "found" still-lifes.

Thea's New Rose

We thought the rose bush by our front door had finished blooming for the summer. But Thea fed it and, voila! I don't know when I've ever been so pleased by a rose bush. This one has some really fascinating color combinations, and I've gotten lots of photos from it. The weather lately has seemed unseasonably cold; it feels like fall already, and Indian Market isn't even here, yet. I'm almost ready for it, though, with several new Kachina paintings and receptions scheduled for both our Taos and Santa Fe galleries.
