This was the view virtually from my living room
window when I lived at 11105 East Charter Oak in Scottsdale, Arizona in
the 1980's. There were houses across the street, but I only had to walk
a couple of blocks to get to the still wild desert. I'm sure this scene
is covered by a sea of houses by now.
